AGIS represents the seventh step in an evolution of Precision Ag software that Delta Data Systems started with Rockwell Vision v2.5 in 1994-95. This release of AGIS is a significant expansion of all of the powerful, intuitive tools of its predecessors. AGIS extends the technical lead that the Vision System presented to the general precision Ag software market. AGIS is the centerpiece of a suite of Precision Ag applications by Delta Data Systems including: Pocket DLog, Pocket Spreader, ViewPoint, and Georef. All can be accessed from Delta Data Systems.

What can you do with AGIS?

bullet

Harvest Processing using inputs from AgLeader (*.yld and *.txt), Vision (*.log), Deere (*.txt), RDS, Case AFS (*.yld).

bullet

Surface Modeling of fertility, topo, conductivity and other “z”-value using data sets in *.txt, *.csv, *.dbf or *.mdb format.

bullet

Prescription building for VRT applications using .shp, csv/bin, VAF or GDX. That covers all the VRT controllers we know about.

bullet

Build Profit and Loss Maps, Zone Maps and topo derivatives maps with the touch of a button.

bullet

Advanced spatial modeling using powerful map algebra or spatial queries on any combination of raster and vector data.

bullet

Import geo-spatial data in ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo Interchange Format, AutoDesk DXF, Agris, USGS DLGIII, Pocket DLog, AgInfo xml sets, .dbf, Access Table, Geo-Tiff, Geo-jpeg, raw raster.

bullet

Export geo-spatial data in ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo Interchange Format, AutoDesk DXF, Geo-Tiff

bullet

Screen Digitize

bullet

Convert Raster to Vector

bullet

Compose and Print maps

bullet

Prepare and share data sets with any AgGPS ViewPoint user.

bullet

Extract statistics for direct transfer to real statistical processors.

You can do all this with unrivaled flexibility in terms of data geography, data resolution, data type and data range. And, since time really is money, you can do all this with unrivalled speed.

Concerned with standards? There are many ‘standards’. AGIS is written in Microsoft Visual C++ and adheres to Microsoft standards. AGIS supports standard file formats like .csv, ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo Interchange Format, Microsoft Access, .dbf, Geo-Tiff and Geo-jpeg. No information product you build in AGIS locks you in or out. If you receive soil lab information in .txt, .csv, .mdb, .dbf or .xls, you can merge it and surface it to feed spatial analysis operations. If you receive .shp files in something other than Lat-Lon on WGS84, it is no problem. AGIS and its predecessor products have been doing for years what other people are promising today- an automatic re-projection and datum shift.

Concerned with price? AGIS is a pay as you use model (just like your cell phone) that is more cost effective than professional ‘information laboratory’ models. You are in total control of costs through one of several “use plans”. There are also no Annual Update or Maintenance charges. We just don’t believe that you should continually pay someone to fix their product- they told you it worked when you bought it.
